Hey everyone, I’m Jhaycrypt. I just submitted my project for the Zama Developer Program - Builder Track and wanted to share it with the community here for some feedback!
The Problem: Traditional on-chain games suffer from the “dark forest” problem all state is public. If you play a strategy game on a standard blockchain, your opponent can read the smart contract to see your moves before they resolve.
The Solution: I built Shadow Arena, a proof-of-concept Web3 chess engine that utilizes Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to bring true “Fog of War” mechanics on-chain. Players submit their moves as encrypted ciphertexts, which are validated directly via smart contracts. This keeps the game state encrypted and strategy hidden.
